Your electronic timing chip The chip must be stuck to the OUTSIDE LEFT of your helmet. Do NOT stick it so it covers an older chip, any metallic or shiny logo, over Scotch-Lite reflective material and not on a Carbon Fibre helmet - these will impede the RFID chip timing signal. Don't worry, the chips have a special glue that will not cause any damage to your helmet. They can easily be peeled off and thrown away as soon as you finish.
Your Electronic Chip will automatically record the time that you pass through the Timing Points on the course. There are timing points at the official start, near Princetown Jail for Medio and Grande routes, the Closed Road Hill Climb at Challacombe and the timed finish. There are NO timing points in feedstations. The clock continues while you are there. You do NOT have to enter feedstations for your timing to register.
