Tour de France winner 1988 and La Vuelta Espana '85 and '89 winner - Pedro Delgado will be riding the 2024 Dartmoor Classic.
Our friends at EKOI UK have invited Perico (Pedro) to the Southwest in June, to ride the Dartmoor Classic and to meet participating cyclists at the event village on the EKOI stand.
Pedro was a strong climber - with so many seriously sharp climbs on the Dartmoor Classic route it offers a strong challenge to cyclists and thanks to EKOI our closed road, timed hillclimb section offers you the chance to shine and put your claim on the KOM or QOM. Riders with the best times for their category will win an EKOI prize and maybe even get their prize presented by Pedro.

The event brings in up to 4000 cyclists from across the UK and internationally to ride for charities and support local cycling (including Harrison Wood MDCC member now riding for Cofidis). The Dartmoor Classic has been voted as one of the best UK cycle sportives and is organised and run by Mid Devon Cycling Club and local volunteers.
This is a great achievement for the SouthWest to have an event that attracts so many cyclist every year and has gained enough of a reputation to attract the likes of EKOI and Pedro Delgado.
