The Dartmoor Classic team are very proud to have contributed to the staggering £37 million which was raised yesterday the BBC Childeren In Need appeal.

On Sunday 8th November Team Rickshaw passed through Devon on this years challenge. Their route took them from Okehampton, over the edge of Dartmoor and on to finish at Taunton. The Dartmoor Classic charities officer, Sarah Lakey, and fellow Mid-Devon Cycling Club members, joined the inspiring team of youngsters to offer some support during their incredible ride in challenging conditions.

They met up with the convoy just outside of Crediton and were invited to join them for their rest stop. Here they were able to chat with the fantastic Amira, Elliot, Erin, George, Lucy and One Show presenter Matt Baker. Despite the poor weather conditions and all the hills the team had faced, they were still in jovial spirits and very much looking forward to finishing in Taunton later that evening.

On behalf of the Mid-Devon Cycling Club, Sarah presented the team with a donation for their Children in Need appeal and gave each of the team a Dartmoor Classic goodie bag, filled with treats to help them on the ride. She also invitated them to come and ride the 2016, 10th anniversary edition of the Dartmoor Classic. Team Rickshaw were very grateful for the donation and gifts.  Sarah said, "These kids are amazing and it was truly inspiring to meet them. What they have achieved this week and the money they have raised is beyond comprehension. This was not only a life changing event for Team Rickshaw but for other children across the country who need our support. I am very honoured to have been a very small part of their journey."
